The current Chief Minister of Jharkhand Government Mr. Hemant Soren has started the Chief Minister Drought Relief Scheme for the farmers who are suffering from drought, through which 226 blocks in 22 districts of the state (except East Singhbhum and Simdega) have been provided by the government on 29 October. Drought has been declared for which the government will soon provide an amount of Rs.3500 to provide relief to the farmers of these dry areas. What is the main objective of Chief Minister Drought Relief Scheme
The purpose of starting the Chief Minister Drought Relief Scheme by the state government is to provide financial assistance to the farmers suffering from drought, for which they will be provided financial assistance of Rs.3500 from the state government. The state government will soon organize camps at village and panchayat level to provide initial relief amount to the drought affected farmers.

Jharkhand’s Agriculture Minister Badal Patralekh has told that now farmers will not have to pay a fee of Rs 40 to CSC or Pragya Kendra to get benefits under Mukhyamantri Sukha Rahat Yojana. Because now this amount will be paid by the state government. Till now the farmers had to pay Rs 40 for registering the application of the relief scheme.
