Pradhanmantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Scheme 2023

Pradhanmantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Scheme 2023 has been started by the central government. Through this scheme, nutrition will be provided to the children studying in schools in primary classes. Till now the mid day meal scheme is being started by the government. Under which food will be provided to the students. This scheme will be included in the Pradhan Mantri Shakti Nirman Scheme by the central government. This scheme has been approved by the Central Government on 29 September 2021. Through this scheme, instead of giving food to the students studying in the school, food rich in nutrients will be made available.

This menu will include protein rich food like green vegetable food. It was decided to start on 28 September 2021 in the meeting of the Union Cabinet. Through this scheme, nutritious food will be provided to 11.8 crore children of 11.2 lakh government-aided schools in the country so far for 5 years.

1.31 lakh crore budget has been fixed for the operation of PM Poshan Shakti Nirman. Rs 54061.73 crore will be provided by the central government to start this scheme and the contribution of the state government will be up to Rs 31733.17 crore. 45,000 crores will be provided by the central government in addition to buying food grains. Along with this, to start this scheme in the hills, 90% of the expenditure will be provided by the central government and the remaining 10% will be borne by the state government.

This scheme will be started by the Central Government from the year 2021-22 to 2025-26. It will also be urged by the state government that honorarium should be given to the cooks and cooking assistants through direct benefit transfer. Along with this, all the schools will also be provided funds through benefit transfer.
