Under the Antarjatiya Vivah Protsahan Yojana, financial assistance will be provided to the married couple who have done inter-caste marriage. This financial assistance will be provided by the government up to Rs 2.5 lakh. The married couple will get financial help from this amount. Bihar Government has started this scheme by the Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment and Chairman of Dr. Ambedkar Foundation. If any information is found wrong by the applicant in getting the benefit of this scheme, then the amount of benefit will be recovered from the beneficiary. The state government has just started this scheme only for 2 years.
Bihar Intercaste Marriage Promotion Scheme Financial Assistance
To get the financial assistance provided by the government, the applicant has to submit a pre-stamped receipt on non-judicial stamp paper of ₹ 10. After that Rs 1.5 lakh will be sent to the bank account of the applicant. This amount will be sent by the government through RTGS or NEFT. Fixed deposit of the remaining amount will be done for 3 years. After that, after 3 years, the fixed deposit will be given to married couples along with interest.
Inter-caste marriages will also be encouraged by the district and state government. Which will be disseminated through the media. ₹ 25000 per marriage will be provided to the department for organizing mass marriages. This amount of ₹ 25000 will be given to the married couples of the state.
