This scheme has been started by the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami. The reason for starting this scheme is also that even today there are many such children and students in the country who, due to lack of digital devices, give up their education and raise the problem. Under this scheme, all the economically weak meritorious students of Uttarakhand will be provided laptops free of cost by the state government under this scheme. Students who have secured more than 80% marks in the board examination of intermediate and high school. It has been decided by the state government to provide free laptops to those students.

Free Laptop Scheme Uttarakhand Application
This scheme has been started to provide laptop facility to the meritorious students of Uttarakhand. Through this scheme, all the financially meritorious students of Uttarakhand will be provided laptops free of cost under this scheme by the state government. More than 12 lakh law students of Uttarakhand, who are studying in class 12, will get help under this scheme by the government. With this, 5 lakh students of the state who are studying in class 10th will be provided free laptops. 25000 rupees will also be provided by the Uttarakhand government to the meritorious students, through which the students can take the laptop of their choice.
Purpose of Uttarakhand Free Laptop Distribution Scheme 2022
The main objective of this scheme is to provide free laptops to all the economically weak meritorious students in the state of Uttarakhand, through which they will also be able to connect to the internet and use digital devices like other children. Under this free laptop distribution scheme 2021, free laptops will be provided to the meritorious students of Uttarakhand. The students and girls of the state who come in the economically weaker backward class, those students have to be attracted towards education under the Free Laptop Scheme 2021. 25000 rupees will also be provided by the Uttarakhand government to the meritorious students, through which the students can take the laptop of their choice.
Uttarakhand Free Laptop Yojana Specification
- Under this scheme, free laptops will be provided to the meritorious students and girl students of economically weaker sections. Those students who have secured up to 70% marks in 10th or 12th board examination.
- All these laptops will have Windows 10 installed by the government and will have 2GB DDR3 RAM.
- All Microsoft’s software like Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel will be pre-installed in this laptop.

- For this scheme those students will be eligible who are residents of Uttarakhand.
- To get the benefit of this scheme, the students should be below poverty line.
- The applicant should have secured 80 percent marks in 10th and 12th.
- Income proof certificate of the student’s family should be there.
- After the start of Uttarakhand Free Laptop Scheme 2021, a list of applications will be prepared. Free laptop will be provided to the students whose name will appear in this list.
