SVANidhi Yojana

Street vendors, known as vendors, hawkers, thelewala, rehriwala, theliphadwala, etc., provide goods and services like vegetables, fruits, street food, tea, textiles, and various services in urban areas. The COVID-19 pandemic affected these vendors, leading to the initiation of SVANidhi Yojana on June 1, 2020. The government aims to provide monetary assistance to street vendors for their working capital.

Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana

Objective

The scheme aims to offer working capital loans up to INR 10,000 to street vendors, helping them become self-reliant post the pandemic and improving their livelihoods.

Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana

Implementation

Implemented by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, the scheme’s initial implementation was until March 2022, with a budget of INR 5000 crores. The scheme got extended until December 2024, with an increased budget of INR 8100 crores.

  • Those without a vending certificate can apply with a municipality recommendation
